Larger traditional-style trees in beech, each with a turned trunk and pot. They range from about 15 to 18cm tall and are around 7.5cm across at the widest. The grain is a little less pronounced than some of the other woods, but they’re pleasingly weighty in the hand.

The beech came from the Kent Woodturners wood store. It’s a wood with deep roots in turning. In the beech woods of the Chilterns, craftsmen known as “bodgers” once worked among the trees, turning beech chair legs on pole lathes for the furniture makers of High Wycombe.
Finished with chestnut friction polish.
