Oak Traditional Tree

CAN019

Wood Oak
Turned October 2026
Finish Chestnut friction polish
Dimensions 5⅛" tall × 2" wide (13cm × 5cm)

A traditional-style Christmas tree in oak, with a turned trunk set into its own pot. It stands 13cm tall and 5cm across at the widest, and the oak came from the Kent Woodturners wood store.

The oak traditional tree, with flecked grain across each bough

This one has a really interesting grain pattern. The pale flecks running across each bough are oak’s medullary rays, thin ribbons of cells that carry food sideways through the living tree. Cut at the right angle they show up as this shimmering “ray fleck”, one of the features that makes oak so recognisable.

Finished with chestnut friction polish.
